Do I also have to license transport packaging with a dual system?

Transport packaging is used to transport goods from one merchant to another and so never leaves the wholesale sector.
Since it is typically not disposed of as waste by private consumers it therefore does not need to be licensed.
Change introduced by amended legislation: from July 2022, distributors of transport packaging not subject to system participation must also register with the LUCID Packaging Register. Previously, this duty applied only to distributors of packaging subject to system participation.
However, the law does require distributors of transport packaging to take back this packaging. Please see this link for further information.
