Your licensing agreement always runs until the end of a calendar year. The literal term will therefore depend on when you actually conclude the contract.
For example: You conclude the licensing agreement on 1 January 2020. Your contract runs until 31 December 2020 and its term is exactly one year. If you concluded your agreement during the year, such as on 15 June 2020, your contract still ends on 31 December 2020.
The period of notice of 3 months until the end of the year also stays the same: your licensing agreement automatically renews every year if you do not terminate it three months before the end of the year (deadline: 30 September).
