Which deadlines do I need to meet?
Before you place packaging on the market for the first time , you must register with the LUCID Packaging Register run by the Central Agency Packaging Register, licence your planned packaging volumes with a dual system and report these volumes to LUCID.
By 15 May in any one year, you must also submit your end-of-year volume report for the previous year to your dual system and your LUCID account (for help on completing these tasks, see ‘How do I report my end-of-year volumes to Lizenzero? ’ and ‘How do I report my end-of-year volumes to LUCID?’ , under ‘Volume changes’).
At the end of the year, you must also provide your dual system and your LUCID account with a volume forecast for the following year .
Companies that exceed certain annual volume limits (see below) must also submit a declaration of completeness for the previous year by 15 May.
Glass: 80,000 kg and over
Paperboard, paper and cardboard: 50,000 kg and over
Plastic, metal, composites (in total): 30,000 kg and over
Smaller merchants may be asked to submit a declaration of completeness on a case-by-case basis.
